Default Whatīs the difference between 747-200SUD and 747-300???

Can anyone please tell me whatīs the difference between the 747-200SUD and the 747-300?

I believe that 747-200SUD wasnīt made in line production and Iīm think that the airlines that have or had, asked for a modification in Upper Deck. Thatīs it? Isnīt it more expensive than simply change one 747-200 for a -300?

747-200SUD, a 747-200 built, rolled out and delivered as a 200 to its original operator, which had it later modified into a SUD by extending the upper bump and anything associated. Modification was either conducted at operator's maintenance if approved by Boeing and the FAA.
Live exemples operated in France are
747-200B/SUD/SCDs F-BTDG and F-BTDH originally built as 200B/SCDs
and delivered new to UTA, which conducted the transformation at its own workshops. Having outlived UTA, these aircrafts keep flying under AF c/s.
To reply another question, the acronym SCD stands for Side Cargo Doors
as these aircrafts are also combi.
747-300s were built, rolled out and delivered as such straight from Boeing
UTA got three original Combis 300/SCDs namely F-GDUA, F-GETA and F-GETB. GDUA was destroyed by fire while undergoing a check. Still alive, Tango-Alpha and Tango-Bravo have been serving AF since UTA was absorbed.
Regards
Alain

it was to expensive for airliners like KLM to buy 747-300's instead of building 200;s to 200SUD's (because they had them a lot). it was a major succes for KLM and they just retired theire the last 747-200SUD after a lot of years at KLM

I knew what is a 747-200SUD plane. I didn't know what does "SUD" stand for. Now I know. That's it. Big deal.
