This is an advertisement made for the Swedish compass and navigation equipment maker SILVA.
It was filmed in Gothenburg, Sweden on board the de-commissioned (now museum ship) hunter/destroyer "Småland", which is permanently moored in the naval museum.
The ship was in its time the first ship to carry ship-to-ship missiles, what later became the Saab-RBS15
There has never been a commissioned U.S.S. Montana since a WWI era cruiser. Both battleships that were to be named Montana were canceled; the first was scrapped before completion and the second was canceled before ever being laid down. The ship in the video is clearly a destroyer or frigate.

This story has been around for ages. It often appears with the warship being a battleship or aircraft carrier.
There is a variant as well with one U.S. ship vs. another.

A U.S. destroyer is steaming along the Vietnamese coast at night, watching for anything out of the ordinary. For some reason, the Officer of the Deck didn't know that another U.S. warship was in the area.
The destroyer gains a very large radar contact, and the fun begins.
