Air Pacific re branded
Fiji's national airline has gone back to it's original name being Fiji Airways.
http://www.fijiairways.com/about-us.aspx
I've flown with them. And granted the aircraft are dated, the service is amazing. I'm going back again in September. It will be the last flight I make on thier 747-400's as they are replacing the LAX-NAN with an Airbus 330-200 next spring.

Well. Decisions are not always comprehensible for pilots or enthusiasts of a special airline. They are able to replace my nickname with A332? - As far as I know, I can provide space for 344 pax in a three class configuration.
I don't know which config is used on a FJ-B744, but, honestly, an A332 is not really comparable to that?!
PS: I am very happy to see you again, canair67. Btw, oldschool means '35 or older'?

It will be completed by late fall when all 3 new aircraft have been acquired and the remaining 47's returned back to Singapore Airlines which I assume will dispose of them.

The 2 747-400 was introduced into the Air Pacific fleet in 2003. Named “Island of Vanua Levu” and “Island of Viti Levu”, these planes have a total seating capacity of 458 passengers, 28 in Tabua/Business class and 430 in Pacific Voyager/Economy Class. These planes have a flight range of 7,260 nautical miles (8,350 mi or 13,450 km) With a high-subsonic cruise speed of Mach 0.85–0.855 (up to 570 mph, 920 km/h).
Well Old school to myself would be Rolls Royce Conways on a 707, or a domestic flight on a DC 8 15 Nice to be back Thank you . Cheers.

Official rebranding is from 1 June, why two months after the first rebranded aircraft has been flying?

Because the rest of thier fleet is being re decaled and the last of the 330's will arrive in Nov when the last 47 in AP livery is returned to Singapore airlines. In reality, it won't be fully switched until late this year.

Read up on what that "UGLY" livery stands for, where and who created it before dispensing with the judgement. And yes, all aircraft will have this genuine Fijian artwork applied.

actually it's his opinion, nobody is stopping him. If he thinks that livery is ugly, he can say it. He is not offending anyone, the livery won't be sad if he say it's ugly
I personally think the whole artwork is amazing but the colors are very ''dead''. It's just brown and brown... Air Pacific scheme was much more striking
