Default ANA 767 in landing incident, NRT

An ANA 767, arriving from Beijing, suffered a serious landing incident at Narita earlier today:

Looking at the attached, you can see that the initial, quite hard, impact, was on its left MLG, from where it slammed down onto its nosegear before the right MLG came down; there was then a second nosegear impact, which exacerbated the initial impact.

Not the first time this has happened on a 767 either.

I know I seen it on avherald today. I think this baby will be scraped for parts, this looks like a very hard landing, and look at the metal how it's bend, disfigured. Japanese pilots have a skill for landing plane in a strange way, I'm thinking of the JAL's 777 back around March I think. Gland no one got hurt, it could have been worse if it was a plastic Airbus!! lol j/k

Shades of the FedEx crash at NRT. Minus the wing spar failure of course. Good old 767.

I guess wind shear and gusty crosswinds=bent airplane.

That happened to the RAM 767 at JFK a few years back, they put it back in service. They had to replace a bunch of stringers and skin panels, but it was repairable.

They put some of these 767 together for two reasons, the plane was new or newer and the damage was not that bad. The 767 for ANA has a bad damage all around 360 degrees, the other incidents were just top of the cabin. I don't think Japan will risk rebuilding/fixing a damage like this one, they still have the 747 accident in their minds, and they have more then enough money to get a replacement 767 but they don't need too because they are getting their 787 now and they are replacing the 767 fleet. This 767 involved will be made in to cans for soda and sops.
