Default Popping sounds in video

Borrowed a Canon Vixia HG21 camera and used it on my flight yesterday. Playing back on the TV via the cables is fine, but when I play it on the computer there are popping and snapping sounds. Anyway of fixing that? I have Sony's Vegas Movie studio & DVD. Thanks.

It sounds like you’re saying that when you play the video directly from your camera there is no popping sounds. It sounds like you’re saying that the popping sounds only occur after you’ve downloaded and digitized the video to your computer.

A few things you might want to try is to try to download the video onto your computer and digitized it again however this time try a couple of different things if you can.

1) reboot. if you can shut down as many processes on your computer that are running in the background that may be using up memory and CPU that might cause glitches in the digitization process.

2) if the software that you have has different options for recording the audio ( different types of compression or non-compression). You might want to trying uncompressed or different forms of compression.

3) you might want to see if you can get and try different types of audio compression software that is compatible with your video suite.

Often compression will cause glitches, especially if your RAM or CPU is bogged down.

I used Free HD converter v1.2, that might be where my problem is. Camera was a Canon vixia HG21. If I get time this weekend I'll see if I can find other software and start over with that.
