Default Cathay Pacific and Air China transferring 10 744Fs to new joint venture cargo carrier

Cathay Pacific and Air China will set up a new joint venture cargo airline based in Shanghai by early 2010. Air China will own 51% of the new cargo carrier and CX owns 49%. The two airlines will transfer up to 10 of their Boeing 747-400F aircraft to the joint venture.

The new cargo airline will become the largest cargo airline in China.
