Airbus is having trouble keeping MSN007 and MSN023 for Emirates on track for 2009 and are fearomg that they might slip into 2010.

MSN027 (Qantas) has arrived back in Toulouse for final checks before delivery in Mid December.

MSN035 the first for Korean Air has been seen in full production in Hamburg and will arrive on Convoy in Toulouse very soon.

MSN042 (Emirates) is on the flightline after leaving body join. It is waiting for a slot in the Final Assembly Line. It will most lilkely take MSN046 (Emirates) spot when it leaves the FAL next week.

MSN047 (Qantas) is back on the flightline minus it's yellow storage primer. But still no engines. This could mean it is being prepared sooner for a XFW transfer then the original April 2010 schedule.

Fifth A380 for Qantas (VH-OQE "Lawrence Hargrave") arrived in Australia late last night, she was due to arrive in Sydney at 1930 but was 4 hrs delayed, so they had to divert to Melbourne due to the Sydney curfew. They arrived in Melbourne at 2300 last night. She departed Melbourne at about 1100 today and is due to arrive in Sydney at 1210.

Who primarily benefits from these ultra-big planes? Is it the company which gets benefits of scale? What increased benefit does the consumer get from being on a plane with that many more passengers?

MSN029 should be delivered today in Toulouse. Also the remaining parts of MSN062 (Qantas #10) should arrive in Toulouse around mid January. Also MSN030 (Emirates) should start taxi tests in the next few days.

Company benfits from large scale which allows them to maximize use of expensive slots at attractive times. Problem is to fill them up and to find the right balance between the classes.
Passengers benefit due to bigger planes are more comfortable.
