Why am I getting all these red X's in places where there should be photos?

Hey guys,

Nice to see this thread reappear. I did not take lots of shots lately but here are some landscape photos I liked, all taken within 10miles from my home. Hope you enjoy:

@Fletch: I have no idea why but I can only see the first one of your shots. Nice one, hope you manage to show the rest as well.

Philip, very nice work indeed!

Since it started snowing here about a week ago I've been waiting for the right conditions to go for a wander with a camera and tripod round the two churches that are both less than a minute's walk from my house. Sure enough, 3am this morning it was still, calm and misty, so off I went!

I love threads like this, it's really interesting to see what we point our cameras at when we're not shooting things that fly. Keep 'em coming!

Paul

A few more from me, all taken around Northumbria on a trip up there with some friends a few months ago.

And a few from the Angel Of The North. From a distance it looks pretty much like a rusty waste of space, but when you're up close it's actually tremendously impressive.

My friends Steve and Anni stood at the foot of this iron monster, showing just how large it really is!

Ahhh sod it... More! (This thread really is addictive). These were all taken around Berlin in 2006 (I know the watermark in the border says 2009 but I'm lazy and couldn't be bothered writing another action in PS!)

I've saved these at a slightly lower quality so hopefully they'll load a bit quicker.

Ahhhh... What a way to start the day. Actually it's essential as coffee aids sobering up.

And three from Berlin Zoo to finish off...

I should probably go to sleep now!

Paul

Nice ones, Paul. You really managed to catch the mood into one single photo! Specially the pub scene, the B/W photo taken ina railstation (?) and the first architecture shot are GREAT!!

Paul and Phillip - excellent, excellent stuff. And my friends though I could make a living taking photos - I told them they were wrong!

I have never visited this thread and now seeing your pics, I am glad that I did. They are real work of art.

Look forward to seeing more.

p.s. - I am sure there are other greats photos here too, I will eventually go through them all.......

A few from today's wander up into the Yorkshire Dales.

This shows just how big some of the drifts were!

This guy seems to have succumbed to the conditions and ended up somewhere he shouldn't have been. He was actually quite lucky, the ground sloped off dramatically inches from where he finally came to rest!

I've just about thawed out now!

Ha Long Bay approaching sunset.

From the back of a motorbike after the sun has gone down cruising in downtown Hanoi.

I took over 2000 shots in Nam but i've only just got back, some more to come next couple days.
