  • UA RNO-SFO-SAN Trip Report (with Pics)

I arrived at Reno-Tahoe Int'l 1 hour before my flight took off so I was trying to hurry. Part of the commotion was I dropped off my wife and daughter at the terminal and then proceeded to park the car and lets just say it took longer to park the car. I rushed up to the counter got my boarding passes and headed to through security and to my gate. When I arrived at the gate I was one of two pax boarding the rest of the pax were already on board before I had arrived. I didn't think I had been that late initially until they closed the door 5-7 mins after I buckled in my seat it was then I realized that I had been really close to missing my flight.

Because of all the excitement that morning I wasn't lucky enough to get terminal pics or spotting pics before boarding my flight nor did I succeed in acquiring the reg number of my flight.

One last thing my flight number UA 573 was the same both segments RNO-SFO & SFO-SAN despite the fact I had to change planes in SFO.

I managed to get some spectacular shots above Lake Tahoe, flying over SFO, Los Angeles city shots etc...

SUMMARY OF THIS FLIGHT- We managed to get a beverage service for this segment I opted for the tomato juice. at this point I listened to Channel 9 throughout he flight. There was something on the inflight TV however I choose not to watch TV. Also I sat next to an elderly couple they were really nice. I felt bad because the wife in the aisle seat took a minute to get up when I had to grab my window seat. I decided not to get up unless I absolutely had out of respect. I managed to hold my bladder for the duration of the flight.
As far as the service is concerned what can I expect on short flights like this? I would rate the service as average besides the fact I was traveling on government orders heres nothing really to complain about.
