Hey

Well firstly, i wouldent advise uploading so many photos into the que, because if They all get rejected, then trust me on this you'll feel so down about it, and you wont know where to start editing the photos, The task will be huge, I ve done it once, i had 18 Rejections !! due to cropping mainly, but i felt so down about it and dident want to upload any more onto the jp db. Anyhow, Im not a screener and i do know what its like when you have a 20 limit que. Good luck with them anyhow

Mike.

The meaning of this topic is, that you upload the photo in question somewhere into a free webspace. We screeners have a look at it and then you can decide if you want to upload them or not.

Now, some upload their photos first and then ask for advice. For one or two shots, OK, but showing ~20 shots in the queue and as the screeners for advice is really like asking to jump the queue.

Especially when all 20 are links to the same shot
Maybe a problem in my computer or a bug? All links opened the same shot, so either its a problem with my side or screeners will have a nice surprise when they get these shots to screen

Dear Screeners,

Before uploading this shot, I just wanted to ask for your opinions. Would be great to hear from you.

Yup! and some nice shots too!

But I'll let the screeners go with the prescreening!

4: A little heat haze visible might cause your problems
5: seems a bit soft and has some compression issues
6: a little soft

Just make sure they are all sharp and keep compression to a minimum.

Apologies. Very hard to tell on such a small image, but composition looks fine from the picture shown.

I don't have log in details to view this image. May I suggest you upload the shot into the queue and then link from there?

Well I'm afraid it becomes apparent from the larger version that the photo is suffering from some fairly substantial noise issues and is also a little blurry towards the front section of the aircraft.

so with being blurry I guess I should keep it as in my collection! Thanks a lot Dan for your time. Cheers.

Default One for the scrapbook?

Hello everyone. Was out at the airport this evening and realized that it was getting dark! So, I bumped up the ISO and am having the hardest time trying to decide if the following photo should be submitted. I think that noise will kill it, as well as some possible jaggies. I have the hardest time with sharpening white text on a dark background...everything else usually goes fine...just not the text.

Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks...Bill

Not too bad I think, a bit of a borderline but has the potential, the noise is the thing that attracts my eyes most. It is not yet too much oversharpened imo, so you might want to try to improve it by selectively removing some noise from the large surfaces, like upper and lower fuselage, engines, etc.

cheers, Pamela
