Hi ya
Just had these rejected for being too high in the frame

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3774150

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3774078

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3774077

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3774225

Would you agree that the rejections are valid?

In addition, the first was also rejected for "similarity" when the other I have is take off shot
Regards
René

I can tell you that it is not my style to share my agreements or non agreements with rejections on this forum, even not when asked in a pm Furthermore, that is not the goal of this thread isn't it? So, I will give you my advise on them. First is a tad too high in the frame, and the other photo you have in the db has a rather similar angle (http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.p...202607&nseq=17). The others are a tad high in the frame. These three can easily be adjusted.

I agree with all 4 rejections that they are too high in the frame. It's not a huge amount but using our lay-over grid which we can use to aid decisions, the window line which I would use as a point of reference to aid centering is above the centre point on my grid.

Centre is roughly at the lower belly side in those shots. So I agree with the rejections too.

I had this rejected for subject too far, although it's not something I particularly agree with in this case as it's a good comparison between the 747 and A380. Should it have been uploaded as a ramp shot?

Dave

Yep, Ramp shot would do it Dave as neither aircraft takes primary focus. Nice photo though!

Thanks James! I'll get it reuploaded at some point as a ramp shot.

Cheers!

The highlights are slightly clipped however, so getting the exposure down a bit would certainly improve the image. I'd then reupload with a remark to the screeners.

Hi ya
The spot is just infront of the tail. If you "equalise" it helps to show up any dust spots. I've attached an image to show you
To clean the sensor ranges from using a blower to eclipse and swabs like I do. I'm sure others are better qualified to assist you with this though.

And with the healing tool in Photoshop it's very easy to get rid of the spot also.

Your image first, and then a copy with four passes of Unsharp Mask set at 50_0.2_0
A noticeable difference.

Default Horizon unlevel

Hi, I'm after help on horizon unlevel again. This picture was rejected for unlevel:

I appealed and a head screener was kind enough to leave a comment saying CW rotation was needed. Re-edited with 0.2 degree CW rotation, and it was rejected for the same reason:

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3782640

What amount and direction of rotation is needed to fix this? My reference are the vertical lines on the the white & orange structure, picture right.

Thanks,
Edwin.

@Edwin...

At first glance the red structure appears visually to be leaning to the left to me but....

.....using the screeners horizon check tool it looks damn near perfect to me. The angle of view means you cannot use the runway as a level check. Personally I would have accepted it as did one of the three screeners that saw it.

I'd appeal that one giving the reason as being that the red structure is vertical.
