Default Spotting at ATL Besides Rennaisance

In another thread I posted about heading to Atlanta on Sept 13-15 and getting a room at the Rennaisance. I was all psyched about it....and it is still planned.

But now, by some odd coincidence I have an interview up in Atlanta with World Airways next week for 1 day and will have a car at my disposal. After my interviews I should have some time for some area spotting. Are there any good locations for spotting around the airport?

If Im lucky, maybe I'll become a permanent resident of the Atlanta area in the near future and shoot there all I want.....I'll cross my fingers.

Thanks for any info....

If they are landing on the 27's and 26's... go to the Marta transportation complex on the west end of the airport (Across the interstate). There you can like hang out in the parking lot and have jets come over your head at like 100 feet. I like to hear the vorticies!

Wow....who would have thought?!?!

I interviewed with World on Thursday and they offered me the position that day as a Ground Operations Coordinator at their corporate office in Atlanta. Now I'll be doing all the spotting I want at ATL.

Now I have to cancel my plane tickets and hotel reservations I had though.....grrrr! I'll be moving up there in about a week and a half. Where are my new FELLOW ATL spotters?? :P

Thanks Chris!

It sure beats working the ramp at SFB that I was doing in the meantime....and makes the 6 years of Embry-Riddle education a little more worth it!
