  • Possible Passenger to Freighter conversions

    Hey everyone,

So since I started working late evenings at Toronto Pearson I have become fascinated with Cargo traffic. But I was wondering about the viability to make certain older aircraft into freighters, or even newer ones too.

I speak specifically about the Boeing 757-300, 777-300, 767-400, and the narrow body Airbus family specifically the A321.

Do you think these would make good freighters? I mean, their smaller sisters operate on short to medium/long routes but could these freighters do the same?

Oh, and the Dash 8 family especially the Q400

The Q would be ideal for the gravel strips here in Canada North of 60. The only 2 proven jet aircraft to do this are the F28 and 732 with gravel and mod kits. I would imagine any of the others could do the heavy lift depending on the individual airline requirements.
    Who's on first?..........
