Already on the list. Trigana Air has been on the European Union blacklist of banned carriers since 2007.

        BBC writes:
Trigana Air has had 14 serious incidents since it began operations in 1991, losing 10 aircraft in the process, according to the Aviation Safety Network.

They think they've found the wreckage. Doesn't sound like there would be any survivors.

flame if need be but the first thing that came to my mind when i read this was "andre, you've lost ANOTHER submarine??"

seems like indonesia may be becoming a bit africa like as far as aviation safety or lack thereof is concerned. not to mention they have and continue to be super tight lipped about the truth.

The lost aircraft was reportedly carrying approximately $500,000 for distribution to local poor communities.

              Cue the conspiracy theorists !

                How would that go?

Someone killing the crew and jumping out with the cash or the crew taking the cash and abandoning the aircraft?

Does anyone know the procedures for transporting large amounts of money?

My guess would be that the money would be safe in the cargo hold and not accessible to the crew or passengers.

                    Coordinates

                    Coordinates of crash site reported to be 04' 49" 289 S - 140' 29" 953 E

I have made a map showing the crash site and the airport.

It looks like the crew descended to early maybe they flew into clouds. (Daytime flight)

On the other hand it could be a mechanical issues, but they didn't report any issues.
