  • Swissair BAe 146 Engine failure at LCA

A passenger on the Geneva-bound jet, which had 74 passengers and four crew on board, described flames and what looked like 'red-hot metal' flying into the air.

3 injured but I think during evac.

Nice to see all those bags and personal belongings being left behi.... oh

        No worries.

Bit off topic I know, but back in the day when the check in staff had to do everything manually, including tagging the bags before sending them down the belt, there were "several" instances of passengers traveling to Los Angeles (LAX) and their bags traveling to Lagos, Nigeria (LOS) Before the days of positive bag reconciliation of course. swissair?

I'd be quite surprised, since they ceased operations in 2002 i think you meant Swiss International airlines, formerly Crossair.

I left Aviation in 2001, so have ignored any changes since then.
