  • Who is this N888AQ BBJ?

    Hi Y'All,

I was browsing the flight information. I found it. I don't know what they are doing in flight from Dallas-Love to back return same airport. What are they doing for about 6 hours up the air today? LOL!

    See picture:

    Just type "N888AQ" on flightaware.com.

    Thanks,

    Stuart

    Owned by WHITE SAPPHIRE LLC...

    Perhaps a test flight?

@ ^ - My thoughts exactly. Look how close they got to the Mexican boarder before turning. Hmm, making sure not to cross international boarders...

Also, who/what is White Sapphire LLC? Do we have any pics of said aircraft on the site?
Whatever is necessary, is never unwise.

You can cross the border, just can't land unless it is at an airport with customs first.

Who knows, maybe the owner wanted to take it out for a spin.

Alot of times when there is a new interior installed they will do 'cold soak' flight tests, which is when they go and fly around at high altitude for a while to make sure everything still works after being at altitude for a long time.

Sometimes flightaware messes up too. I might be wrong, but I thought a cold soak was to "break in" the skin of the fuselage.

There is a company there that does ultra-VIP retrofits, probably a test flight.

I know the Kingdom Holdings 747-400 was there at one point as well.
