    At least 20 people are feared dead after a passenger plane crashed near Kazakhstan's commercial capital, Almaty.

    The CRJ-200 aircraft was travelling from the northern town of Kokshetau.

      Unofficially, it seems weather was the culprit but I did something of a double take with this report on the incident from one of Canada's national newspapers:

      "Canadian-made jet in deadly Kazakhstan crash not known for poor safety".

      There's a headline that'll give Airbus and Boeing pause, eh? Quivering in their boots I'd bet. I suspect the next update will have 'Pilot NOT texting on his RIM Blackberry' for its sub-head Oy vey! [/derail]

        I assume the owners of this airline never looked up "SCAT" in the dictionary.
