  • Need id help on this one

    Hi ya
Not sure if this a Rossiya or Russian Air Force aircraft, should it be uploaded as 65917 of the Russian Air Force and "Business" ticked?
    Regards

It is certainly carrying Rossiya markings so I would say that Rossiya would be the correct upload. Rossiya have Tupolev 204's with a very similar registration i.e. Numbers and no letter prefix.
Life is getting complicated in Russia these days with who owns/operates what ?

I would recommend adding a note to screeners with this one.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

        Thanks Brian,
There is a Meridian Air Tu-134A-3M in the database as RA-65917, would it be safe to assume that is the same aircraft?
RA-65917. Tupolev Tu-134A-3M. JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

I'll do some more research, but if I find nothing I'll upload as Rossiya, Tu-134, 65917, unknown CN, to be safe and leave a note to the screener.
        Regards
        René

            Hi Brian
Just heard from great Russian spotter, Alex Snow who took me to Vnukovo, and he said that is in fact now owned by SibNA since March 13
Meridian website says they have only one RA-65737, http://www.meridian-avia.com/en/pages#panel_node-8,
I uploaded yesterday as a Rossiya, so I'll update to SibNA
Great to see a Tu-134 still flying, even better one with a glass nose
            Thanks again Brian and Alex
            Regards
            René

I have added the type for you. For future reference you can request the addition of a new manufacturer and/or type using the link in the Aircraft selection field on the upload page.

How is the correct classification for Alpha Jet with civil reg C-GZTO and for Breitling Team airplanes? Have I to consider them as vintage?

Which Breitling a/c? The L39s of the jet team are not vintage. Same goes for the Alpha Jet.

Please can you add the following operator?

                              Glacier Air http://www.glacierair.com/

I have already uploaded in the queue one photo as Air Glacier, but I think they are not the same company.

                              Thank you.
