For me, another one in the euro white trend. Better than China Eastern though...

Could have been better, the famed Landor design agency did this as they did their 1970s livery.

Well - could have been worse and could have been a lot better... If you ask me, it wasn't worth the big announcement beforehand, and if they are cash-strapped, they should have saved the money for the "re-blanding" - er, I mean "re-branding" - and kept the old livery.

100% agreed! Your mentioned livery remains a masterpiece of livery-design in many aspects.

...and to be honest, since the update a few years back (of moving the cheat line to below the windows), it seemed updated yet still classic. If this is indeed the change that they are going with then I hardly see the point as it is not a major departure from their previous - and so why incur the cost. Sure, the airline might be in need of a new image, but instead of it being external, internal changes would have been far more effective (cost being one of the most sensitive). New land-side facilities, new on-board products, new routes, and perhaps a plan for the fleet replacement, would have better served the airline than a new color scheme. I understand that all of those may be occurring, but a new c/s seems futile compared to the other issues with the airline. They could be a great player in the field, however at present they are beseiged by a reputation of poor service, and a lack of amenities to properly compete against their European competition, much less their ME3 competitors.
Whatever is necessary, is never unwise.
