  • VOZ 777 burst sewage pipe

Just heard on my local radio

A Virgin Australia aircraft flight from Los Angeles to Sydney has been forced to turn back three hours into the flight after a toilet pipe broke shortly after take-off. A passenger reported that human waste was running down the aisle of the plane, and the smell was "unbearable." Passengers were reportedly offered masks to put over their faces.
Have yet to find any more info. Virgin Australia Flight 2.

k, so, the 777 is a single level aircraft with all the WC's on the same level as the pax. the wc's flush by vacuum pushing the waste downwards. someone please explain to me how "human waste" was "running down the aisle..." below the level of both the toilets and the "aisle"

sounds like a load of horseshit to me....

According to a couple of media reports the leak (700 liters) was from a sink or sinks:

Based on what Virgin Australia is saying, can anyone explain the smell?

This is the letter of apology that was sent to the passengers

Probably the same explanation for why there are "eyewitness reports of flames coming from an engine" when a plane makes an emergency landing due to a medical problem on board... people make stuff up.
Be alert! America needs more lerts.

Found these on Twitter from pax who were on board

I'm surprised they didn't divert to HNL instead.
