  • Qantas Flying World's Longest Flight

    Qantas now using A380 to fly the world's longest scheduled airlines flight, previously flown by their 747's.

    Sydney to Dallas / Fort Worth.

    Their SYD-DFW has been the longest single flight segment for about a year now... but now that the A388 goes nonstop back to DFW, it becomes the world's longest roundtrip as well.

    During the time it stopped at BNE with the 744ER, DL actually held the title for world's longest westbound segment.

      Not that I am unhappy that DFW is getting this much attention, but is there really that much demand on this route?

        No. From what I've heard, DFW has less than 40PDEW to/from the whole of Australia.

        But the cnnx are obviously what they're after. Everything south of the Potomac and east of the Rockies is fair game.

        North of that area can go from JFK. West of the area can go from LAX. It's a pretty good location.
