I'm curious... when something like this happens on an international flight, especially when the misconduct takes place (presumably) while the plane is over international waters, what determines where the person gets prosecuted? "Where" as in, what country?
Be alert! America needs more lerts.

Ask TeeVee, I understand he's in the legal field. On a side note, I've had the pleasure of meeting the young "gentleman's" parents once. All kidding aside, very gracious people.

The jumped up little twat started his antics about 30 minutes into the flight so that would probably have still been in British airspace. British law would possibly therefore intervene in that case. However, Turd the Third is I believe an American national and was on a flight to the USA so it seems logical that he would be prosecuted in the USA. It would be wonderful if he did some jail time after a federal prosecution for flight endangerment. A few months of having some brothers banging his lily white back door in should concentrate his mind a bit.

Nothing makes my blood boil more than Z list so called celebrities who think they're a cut above everyone else just because they and/or their family have got money.

It would be one thing if they were smokin' hot and sold popular music, but in this case, it's just a bunch of dang hotel rooms.

not really sure since i'm neither an aviation or intl law specialist. it was aboard a BA flight and the flag of the carrier designates the territory onboard--not quite sovereign but close.

the punk is, i believe a US national, so he would be subject to US law no matter where he committed his crime.

don't get your hopes up, the pos is probably right--his daddy will buy him out of trouble.

and brian, the little shit might enjoy getting his backside probed...

Justice in the US is a joke. I waited for the phone call regarding the last "bad little puppy" I had who went to trial after I retired and was happy to hear the judge had give him 5 years. Worked very hard on that one but the little "viictory" was short lived when my associate finished his sentence .. "five years, home confinement with conditions". That means he runs his business and just has to go home at night after work. Duh?

Or how about the gal who is currently on the US Ski Team and her dad was busted as one of the biggest pot dealers in the country. Huge arrest in a ($140,000,000), indeed but what hardly made the press was that he got to keep a five million of his ill gotten goods for his cooperation.

I always played by the rules but had I strayed a single inch the public would be clammering for my head, putting me away and certainly not keeping a single dollar, much less a few million. Lucky kid and that doesn't detract from her hard work and all but knowing she represents this country at the Olympics on money earned that way is an insult.

Kids like Hilton ... Brian and I share the same sentiment, at least figuratively right?

I sure hope that sh*t does some jail time. The fines are nothing to them, loss of freedom is.

For what it's worth here's the Smoking Gun report complete with the FBI arrest documents, let's see if Daddy's willing to bail him out of this one.

FEBRUARY 3--Paris Hilton’s 20-year-old brother was arrested today by FBI agents after being named in a criminal complaint accusing him of disrupting crew members on a British Airways flight traveling

I'll love it when the British ban him and one by one he will be in reduced to the point that he will be sharing a shipping crate with a side of beef wearing manacles. The manacles would be needed to restrain the beef from tenderizing his dimpled naught carcass.

Prediction: he will claim he mixed alcohol with a sleeping pill, had a bad reaction, and acted "totally" out of character. He will beg for mercy and forgiveness, will make a public apology to the crew and the pax, and all will go away quickly and quietly after he gets some bullshit anger management/counseling sentence, probation, and a fine.

us poor peasants would be looking at several years in the pokey.
