This was this "highly-respected" doctor's second crash in four years. The first one was at the same airport.

Doctors + High performance aircraft = a fairly significant statistical blip with a pretty long history.

Perhaps we should ask Dick Karl.

He did seem to have a thing for stalling expensive rides. Hopefully he was better with a scalpel.

I believe the V tail Bonanza started the cliche of "Doctors airplane".

Dr. Dick Karl is an obscure heart surgeon who has written a monthly aviation colmn in Flying magazine for roughly the past 10 years. Earlier this year he visited Atlas Air but I guess he missed seeing Boeing Bobby.

The cheap composite crackerbox with a ballistic chute SR-22 might soon qualify for an award for using improved capability to do more challenging things and kill rich owners.

Another accident that could have been prevented if only there was a rule in place requiring pilots to maintain runway heading during a go-around...

Didn't even hear about this one! Usually when a celeb gets a tour and a free hour in the simulator they make a big deal about it.

Not always the case Eric, there are times when a turn is required soon after the end of the runway to avoid obstacles or terrain.

Note to Bobby- If you can't have every last post and thread memorized, take note of green smiley faces.

Next you'll want to tell me there's no takeoff V-speed-call-out where you know you'll run off end, but can still abort and not crash too bad.

                            Fixed.

Could he get rid of the Cheyenne already?

                              What's wrong with the Cheyenne?

I'd love to own one... if someone else were willing to fund its maintenance.

                                Thanks for your guidance.

FWIW, if it wasn't such an obscure magazine and you weren't so focused on photographing liveries and teaching puppy mill pilots about what happens near 16-degress of AOA (or relentless pull ups), perhaps you'd know that he has quit doctoring, somewhat parked the Cheyenne, and taken a job in the right seat at Avis Rent-A-Citation (along with visiting Atlas Air).
