  • Transavia orders 17 737-800s!

    http://finance.yahoo.com/news/boeing...133000440.html

Transavia Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Air France KLM Group, today announced an order for 17 Next-Generation 737-800s, including options for three additional airplanes.

The order will significantly support the growth of Transavia's operations from France and the Netherlands. The airline currently has a combined all-Boeing fleet of 45 Next-Generation 737s.
Sweet! Good news for Transavia, as the expansion might indeed be in the vein of LH's expansion of Eurowings and Germanwings. The new aircraft will come with the new identity - which should allow it to hit the market quickly.

Of serious note though, how many 737 slots are still to be sold before production of the 737-MAX is launched?
Whatever is necessary, is never unwise.
