"Delta spokeswoman Kristin Baur said 702 of Comair's local employees live in Northern Kentucky; 329 reside in Ohio. Company-wide, 816 pilots, 450 flight attendants and 225 mechanics stand to lose their jobs at Comair."
"The Chamber will help Comair's displaced workers find employment, Stevens said. The Chamber plans to put Comair's employees in touch with a network of several hundred human resource professionals from companies throughout the region. The Chamber also will likely host a job fair for Comair employees. Employers need skilled labor, such as machinists, Stevens said."
"It's unclear whether Delta's other partner regional airlines would hire any of the Comair pilots, Cook said. Comair employees will be considered for current and future openings at Delta, Baur said. She added that Delta expects its Delta Connection partners to consider Comair employees when openings are available."
Hopefully all can find a job elsewhere in other DL Connection partners.
