Early check in at Changi airport Singapore

Hi
I am flying out of Singapore tonight on SQ221 for Sydney, does anyone know if I can check my bags in really early?? Flight is due to leave at 8:10pm but I was thinking of getting there about 2pm.
I was hoping to check my luggage in and go through customs so I can sit back and relax.

I second that. I have done it on a previous trip, and my layover was 9 hours long. The check-in agent was awesome, and better yet, he even recommended a few places to eat, and hang out.

I know that this is kinda odd, but if you get resistance from the check-in agent, perhaps ask what the fee would be to use Kris Lounge for a one-day pass (if such a program is avail), and it might be worth the investment to hang out there, and they'll certainly check the bags at that point as well. If you are a FF member of SQ or any other affiliate, this would be the time to see if you can get into the lounge. It's superb...
