A few from last weekend's gigging trip to Norway. Unfortunately the smaller versions from Flickr tend to look a little jaggy but the full size versions look clean! The second was taken from a helicopter at around 4000 feet over Sauda, and the other three were taken on the boat journey from Stavanger to Sauda.

One taken from the comfort of my hotel room in the Czech Republic a few days ago, easily the most spectacular electrical storm I've ever seen!

Awesome moggy shots, Simpleboy!
Me and a mate had an analogue-fest yesterday, the 7D stayed at home and I just took my EOS 10 + 24-105L loaded with Fuji Neopan Acros 100. We spent a few hours shooting round Leeds and then developed the negatives ourselves, this is a view of inside Leeds Corn Exchange scanned from the negative. I simply adore the contrast of this film!

A few of mine, taken last weekend during a breath taking sunset, "enhanced" by an upcoming rain shower
That was moments before the first raindrops:
That was just when it started to rain:
and ... you guess it ... it's raining!

Those last two Are outstanding Jan!
And Paul, Get me a roll of that film, then teach me how to develop, thats some amazing tones in the highlights and shadows there!
One of the things I wish I would see of more in JP, Is people using under and/overexposing or creative composition to tell part of the story. When I screen and someone has done something out of the ordinary, all it takes is a sentence in the remarks to the screener saying "I have done XXXX to emphasize YYYY" or such for me to straight away go, they have thought about what they have done, and any 'rule' we have, i generally overlook, assuming the photo works.
Example, Underexposing in central Christchurch.
The point? To show the dark and forbidden side of Christchurch in it's current earthquake ravaged state.
Disclaimer: Don't start sending us badly composed or exposed photos, think about what you're doing, justify it, and providing it works then ill be happy to let it in!
EDIT: make that the last 3 Jan, and BTW, don't you hate it when the birds don't cooperate and look at the camera?

It sure is a beautiful film! People used to shooting digital often overlook the quality that's actually attainable with film. My film SLR is currently loaded with Adox 25 which would probably leave my 5DMk2 eating dust in terms of what it can ultimately resolve!
One from a couple of days ago shot from a boat heading out to a seal colony off Yorkshire's gorgeous east coast. A very simple image; nothing technical or smart going on here, just one of nature's aviators in action.

And one of the seals which I love despite the fact it's another very simple image. It's a bit like looking at a photo of people, there are so many different moods and emotions going on in these expressive and very cool creatures. This is 2000 pixels wide if you want to dive in and have a closer look.
'The Gathering' by Paul Nichols, on Flickr
P.S. Jan and Fabricio, some superb images there!

The seal on the right reminds me of my dog, just lying around all day looking at you and waiting for food
Chiming in with something rather simple
