Hi everyone,
I had this one rejected as of being oversharpen. Can someone please tell me where are the jaggies? Which part of the airplane?

Thanks,
Mehdi.

I need some help...
http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=2726874
After a rejection (and appeal rejection) all I got was "UNDER-sharpened and OVER-processed." and "It appears painted." ??? Is there any editing trick to make this photo look more "realistic"? What does it need? Contrast? More/less sharpening? It is a real photo by the way.
Thanks in advance.

Gandalf,
Compression is when then image has taken on a slightly distorted look clearly visible around the titling and other areas of high contrast. To avoid this issue highest quality settings in camera and save as highest quality in photoshop. Also have you canhged any settings recently as you say JPEG compression has only started to happen recently.
mnazarinia,
I think the cheatlines and titling is slightly oversharpened. Nice photo by the way it will need a complete re-edit.
Will_Power,
The wing is soft so I would advise selective sharpening onto the wing only. The ground below looks plasticy and smudgy almost as if you used a large amount of noise reduction.
Hope that helps.
Ryan

Hello everyone !
I just had this one rejected.
http://www.jetphotos.net//viewreject_b.php?id=2733888
I would please require some few advice.
- I don't really see what is blurry in the picture ; and if ever, I think it is still largely within acceptable range.
- I contest the overexposed ; if you look at the histogramm, no parts are overexposed and not even close to the "burnt" limit.
Shall I appeal ? Thank you very much for your help.

Not overexposed...if anything, slightly underexposed according to the histogram !
But blurry ?.....Yes, I'm afraid it is. You seem to have tried to sharpen it but it's still difficult to focus on. The giveaway is the registration and the Air France titles which are losing edge definition, a classic result of trying to sharpen a blurred image.
Blur is blur I'm afraid, it cannot be cured.

Think of it this way...if you didn't know that Lufthansa was an airline would you think that this was an aviation derived subject ?

Hello, this was rejected for Soft and Bad Color. What can I do to correct the color? And is the whole airplane soft or just some parts of it? Because I think the titles, cheat lines and even the registration around the nose gear looks fine.

Thank You!

Just adjust the whitepoint and then add some contrast. This will a) correct the colors and b) make the photo look sharper

I'm not sure how to proceed with this one. Was just rejected for worng/missing catagories, but I'm not sure which one/s.
This is a dedicated air ambulance that really doesn't fit into any of the catagories, so a little insight would be much appreciated.

This aircraft needs the "Business Jet" category.

Aaron,
The fact that this pic is totally backlit and doesn't have the right exposure leads to a very bad contrast and dark along with an overexposed sky around the sun. Not much you can do to improve it I'm afraid
Regards
Alex
