Interesting read. Another profitable year for EK, despite a huge drop in profit. Who would have guessed that EK's most profitable European route would be Athens?

Not really that surprising given the large Greek community in Australia and considering that to fly from Athens to the Far East or Australia on a European carrier you first have to go two hours in the wrong direction...

Well, SQ is dropping its service to ATH from the 28th of October. It started the route in 1972.
