Default What is the right info to add?

Dear all,

can anyone tell me what should be put in the appropriate fields:

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=3854651

Initially when I uploaded this photo I put in the registration, in flight, serial number and in the comments i put something about the airport which you are seeing.
Photo got rejected because of bad info.
I appealed and screener told me I had to put in the airport in both fields which i did accordingly.
Guess what, photo get rejected because i put in bad info (airline, registration, serial missing).
I appealed, explaining like mentioned above and get a rejection without further explanation..
Additionallyt there is a rejection because of window glare which wasn´t a reason in the first place...

I would appreciate if someone can give me a proper explanation without without blaming or fingerpointing etc.

Thanks in advance,
Joop

Hey Joop,

I was the one who tagged this one for being bad info. Though in my defence I was following whats currently in the guidelines.

Quote:
1.1.3 Airport Overviews
...
Note: an airport overview taken from inside an a/c, with part of the wing visible should be uploaded as wing view (see 1.1.4.).

1.1.4 Registration & CN numbers
.....
When uploading a wingview, enter the regi and c/n from the plane the image is taken from, not an a/c, airport terminal or runway that is possibly visible.
I cant see your original rejection anymore but perhaps one of the seniors may be able to offer some insight on what the correct format is, though from what you've said, because of the wing visable, it sounds like your original upload was correct. But I am new to this!

There are three possibilities with overviews from an aircraft.

1. (Your image posted here).... Should have been uploaded with the aircraft registration and c/n. The airport is as shown. Categories required = "wing view" and "airport"

So to precis that, fill in ...
-Aircraft registration.
-Airport ICAO code.
-Genre (check correct)
-Location (should autofill,)
-Aircraft type (Should autofill, manually fill in type from list if required)
-Airline. (Should autofill, otherwise manually fill from list. If small prop then Private)
-c/n. (should autofill, manually fill if required)
-Date and remarks as required. (In your case, ******* airport seen from *aircraft registration*)
-Categories. In this case Airport and Wing view plus any others that apply such as Small Prop etc.)

2. Same type of wing view but no airport in view.

-Registration. insert aircraft registration.
-Airport. Leave blank.
-Genre (check correct)
-Location. Go to "Show menu". select country in first box( only use "International Airspace" if over one of the great oceans. Everywhere else is someones airspace), select "Inflight" in second box.
-Aircraft type (Should autofill, manually fill in type from list if required)
-Airline. (Should autofill, otherwise manually fill from list. If small prop then Private)
-c/n. (should autofill, manually fill if required)
-Date and remarks as required.
-Categories. In this case Airport and Wing view plus any others that apply such as Small Prop etc.)

3. Airport in view but no wing in view.

-Registration. Insert airport ICAO code
-Airport. Insert airport ICAO code.
-Genre (check correct. Civil airport = civil. Military airport = military))
-Location (should autofill,)
-Aircraft type. Will default to Airport
-Airline. Select Airport overview
-c/n. Leave blank
-Date and remarks as required.
-Categories. Select Airport.

NOTE Shots of a general scenery view with no part of the aircraft you are in, or another aircraft visible are not accepted for "Motive" reasons.

It would be very nice if LOTS of uploaders read this.

To all three screeners, thanks a lot for your replies..

The original reply is not in my rejections list anymore but i uploaded the first time the picture as described by Simpleboy so Gerardo I don´t have an id anymore.

One comment to Brian regarding his last sentence "It would be very nice if LOTS of uploaders read this. ". It would be very nice if LOTS of screeners would read this as well.. or if I may do a suggestion: simplify the rules because this leaves room for interpretation and inconsistency.
If I read well the photo should be accepted. Either in the original one I uploaded or this one (with suggested upload instructions from a Dutch screener).

Awaiting your (positive) reply,
Joop

Hello screeners,

can I get some feedback on my latest post? Both uploads matched with two of Brians´ suggestions how to upload the photo.

Thanks for your reply!
Joop

Just one thing to double check. Should airport be 'inflight´ or EHSB?

Thanks,
