Hopefully I get that AC 126 seat changed, nothing but centres left at least at the Tango Plus Fare. On the other hand my first A321 flight! Years ago it used to be a 762 as I recall, only a one in seven change of being stuck in the middle, with the 320 family, one in three.
I would have taken the non stop AC1198, now a 319 but at the time I booked it was almost $200 more one way, so I went for a change in YEG, today of course the premium for the non stop flight is a puny $35. AC may have simplified their fare structure to four but let me tell you there is a wide variety of different fares within each group, the day I booked they varied from $299 to $499 for a Tango Plus fare YMM-YYZ, just depended what plane you wanted. And the fares go up and down on a daily basis if you watch closely enough! I think I would be a little chuffed if I had paid $469 for AC 1198 and then found out the same fare three days later is only $334. BTW the outbound T+ fare I paid $299 plus tax for is today $537 plus tax and the nonstop still $334. Guess it truly pays to shop around.
I will also be flying AC east on the 1 July long weekend and will post the details as available.
