BAKU (Reuters) - A freight plane of Azerbaijan's Silk Way airline crashed on Wednesday in Afghanistan, killing seven of its nine crew, Azerbaijan's civil aviation administration said.
It said the plane had crashed after taking off from Dwyer airport in Afghanistan. The crew were from Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The accident happened at about 7 p.m. local time on Wednesday when the Antonov An-12 crashed as it took off from Dwyer Airport, which is located southwest of Lashkar Gah in Helmand province. Specific details were not immediately available.
The crash was confirmed by the State Civil Aviation Administration of Azerbaijan, but Afghan officials were not immediately available to provide further information late on Wednesday night. Silk Way Airlines did also not immediately respond to a request for information.
It is thought the Silk Way aircraft was leased to another company, but it was unclear which.
According to preliminary information, at least nine people were on board the aircraft, including five citizens of Azerbaijan, three citizens of Ukraine, and a pilot from Uzbekistan. There was no official word on their conditions, but media reports suggested that at least seven were killed.
