That LAN Brazil would have been a much better brand.

"LATAM" ? Sounds like a generic name for laxative drug !

As Gabriel says, LAN Brazil would have been a much better brand identifier.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

This is so sad... For years LAN has been one of my favorite liveries (2nd only to Frontier), and now they turn it into this. Sadly I have only had the chance to witness the LAN livery once (@SFO, and it was backlit)

Good thing the didn't decide on LATHAM, that would have been a very bad omen.

Hm. Since 1978, I am an opponent of mergers. That's the reason why I am here since approx. ten or eleven years (read) and a little less, almost eight years (read and write).

I have never seen a reason for a merger, neither from the passengers perspective nor seen from the pilots perspective.

All the evil, and that's why I am here, has begun with the disappearance of LTU, in Germany a quite famous airline which has been founded here on my home airport.
Not very much later, all the NW 747s disappeared from the sky, in their very brilliant "NW bronze" livery.

I hate mergers. So, sorry, you should ask somebody else.

[Here on this platform, I have compared the current UA livery with the UA-B744 livery of 1996 (before the merger). The result is the same. If merger is a reason for a new livery, then, sorry, I can't remember a good example. It always seems to have been invented in a hurry.]

Is there a need to delete the TAM livery? Why?
The German long haul is alive, 65 years and still kicking.
The Gold Member in the 747 club, 50 years since the first LH 747.
And constantly advanced, 744 and 748 /w upper and lower EICAS.
