    Hi all,

I got several rejections on the pictures below.
    Can someone help me ?

Reason: Too much or too little contrast
    Is it too much contrast???

Reason: Over Processed / Bad postprocessing
I have used Niksoftware and add bit more color into it.

Reason: Over Processed / Bad postprocessing

How can I avoid this issues, or do I need to change my workflow?

    This is how I work:
    - First I will edit the lights /contrast in lightroom
    - After that edit in PS CS5 sharpness/ digital noise.
    - If the color are not good enough I will add little bit more contrast into it.
    - Crop the picture and save the file as .tiff and resize to 1200 px
    - save as filename.jpg for uploading to JP

    Many thanks!

    This one needs more contrast.

For these two, you've done something in the editing process to introduce some strong halos, especially on the CZ. The shadow/highlight or similar tool often causes this problem. See if you can process them without generating the halos, and you should be ok.

          equalize version

If you want to appeal it, the just appeal it the regular way. Posting it here in the forums won't change anything.

There's at least one dust spot, visible even without equalization. Not sure if it is the only one or not (sorry, I'm viewing it in a crappy monitor, with my crappy eyes and I'm not a photographer).

Sorry, but that is not a dust spot. Dust spots are always dark.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

                      hi,

i have received 2nd rejection on this photo.

                      the 1st rejection was soft
the 2nd rejection was soft, obstructing / contrast

what i dont understand is that why the screeners don't pointed out the other rejections before?
i have sharped the photo and still got rejected.
                      can someone advise?

The histogram is showing missing light tones but to be honest, those bushes are really distracting. They are overpowering the main interest which is the mist.

                          Thx for your comment Brianw999!

I would also like to ask your opinion about this photo?
                          http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=5079288

Photo is reject due to over processed / bad processing.
The only thing what I did is add 10-20% contrast and sharped the picture. I took this photo during the sunrise hours and these (sun)colours are natural.

Do you use Nikon ? D-Lighting maybe ?

                            Cheers

                              Hi Alex,

I have seen the rejected appeal, thanks for your quick comment.
I photograph with Canon and use sometimes Nik collection for editing.
