  • Cessna planes now Textron

One of the spotters I know noticed this on the FAA website:

    Code:
    Serial Number	525C0198	Status	Valid
Manufacturer Name	TEXTRON AVIATION INC	Certificate Issue Date	10/16/2015
    Model	525C	Expiration Date	10/31/2018
And I went back and caught this

    Code:
Serial Number	680A0004	Status	Registered to Mfr
Manufacturer Name	TEXTRON AVIATION INC	Certificate Issue Date	None
    Model	680A	Expiration Date	None
Looks as if the whole deal with consolidating Cessna and Beechcraft into Textron Aviation resulted in the manufacturer for planes (at least the new Citations) being listed as Textron.

Should uploads have the info as before, or should they now be Textron 680A Citation Latitude / Textron Cessna 680A Citation Latitude?

Good question. I will wait for the timr being if the name Textron will be used as the marketing name.

In the meantime, would it be possible to update the database and the aircraft-type menus for the Citation Latitude and the Citation M2?

Currently, both lack the model number (which is listed on the aircraft type design and registrations). The two should be:

      Cessna 525 Citation M2

      and

      Cessna 680A Citation Latitude

      Thanks!
