  • 20th Anniversary of Boeing 777 Maiden Flight!

Two decades ago to this day, the Boeing 777 made its maiden flight.

The 777 became one of the most successful widebody airliners, and one of the safest planes of all time.

The Boeing Triple Seven is currently my 2nd favorite aircraft, and my favorite widebody plane.

Here is the earliest photo of the 777 I can find in the database:

And here are some of my favorite 777 photos taken by others:

Have flown in a triple 7 only once. Air France. Buenos Aires - Paris.

My worst flight ever!!! (not the fault of the plane though).

I have flown the 777 a couple of times.

British Airways: LHR - PHL and back... was okay...

Malaysia Airlines: KUL - PER... don't remember much. I was dead tired.

KLM: JFK - AMS, AMS - KUL and back, AMS - PTY and back. Awesome landing on the trip from PTY to AMS.

Air France (so far only -300ERs): CDG - SIN and back. The SIN - CDG trip was one of my best flights ever. And I was fortunate enough to travel Business Class from Beijing to CDG once.

I can't get the "quote" function to show the image, but I think the 5th photo in the original post shows how little baby planes are created.
Be alert! America needs more lerts.

I've flown in one, both my first wide-body and first international flight:

          G-YMME / SAN-LHR / Jul 29, 2013

It was quite nice, I got to see Greenland which was fun
