      I'm sorry - it was 3m! That's little more than 9ft! That IS ridiculously low by anybody's yardstick. Most trucks are taller than 9ft!

        As are many other things such as trees, buildings, power lines (and the poles they're attached to)...

            It's happened a few times in Western Australia, we had (from memory) several Garuda jets try to land on Horrie Miller Drive, the approach road to the Perth International Terminal rather than the Perth airprort runway shortly after the International Terminatl opened.

              And at LHR - often referred to as the November Oscar incident.


              Unfortunately the captain later took his own life.
