I'm sorry - it was 3m! That's little more than 9ft! That IS ridiculously low by anybody's yardstick. Most trucks are taller than 9ft!
He realised reasonably early it was the road and not the runway, so how people react on the ground can be quite different to the reality of the situation.
Hmm - not early enough to avoid getting within 9ft of it!Yet another AD.com convert!
