Just heard on my radio
Alaska Air Flight 819, KOA-SEA, one pax detained at arrival.
Here are some news links for this situation.
Whoever made that prank phone call is going to be really screwed.
If he/she gets caught. That said, that the call came right around takeoff time identifying the passenger by name narrows the field somewhat. So I would be surprised if there isn't a rather small list of possible suspects already
The "keep my tail out of trouble" disclaimer: Though I work in the airline industry, anything I post on here is my own speculation or opinion. Nothing I post is to be construed as "official" information from any air carrier or any other entity.
"If you see something, say something" gone awry? Well, I just hope they leak a few details from the investigation. Clamming up for the sake of avoiding prank phone call charges isn't a viable compromise.
