  • Website with many stolen pics

It has come to my attention that this website, does show many stolen pics from different websites, with out givng the correct copyright and with removal of the copyrightbar.

You might want to check if one of your pics is hosted there and complain to the webservice provider of the site.

Those of you with images of KLM 747's at St Maarten should check this out. I found at least 6 images stolen directly from JP. There are a lot of stolen shots of PH-BFG (the infamous early landing on the runway chevrons ?)
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

I have sent the following email to multiply.com......

      To whom it may concern,
I am a photoscreener for www.jetphotos.net and it has been brought to my attention that the website hosted by yourselves i.e. http://flyingstewardess.multiply.com/photos
is posting images stolen from the jetphotos.net website without any copyright reference to the original photographer and with the jetphotos.net copyright bar removed from our images.
Particular images that I have found are of KLM airlines Boeing 747 registration PH-BFG at St Maarten airport, Netherlands Antilles. If you search the jetphotos database on the homepage using the above data in your search and compare our images to quite a few of the images on http://flyingstewardess.multiply.com/photos, particularly the extreme landing at the beginning of the runway you will see what I am referring to.
Could you take appropriate action please to either ensure that proper copyright is displayed or have the offending images removed from http://flyingstewardess.multiply.com/photos
      Thank you,
      Yours sincerely,
      Brian Whitelegg, Jetphotos.net photoscreener.

Here in Stuttgart, Germany almost every photographer is affected with the stolen photos on that side. For myself I stopped counting at about 30 photos that are taken by me.

The photos are not only taken from the large databases. They took them from different forums and private websites as well.

As I've found out, one of the people, who put that collection of stolen photos on the internet, is Gaby Sommer - she's involved in that collection and she has got the same photo's on her Facebook profile as well ... Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000562092747

I was expecting more of a Flickr response, which is like an automatic email that says f-you, we want formal contact from the photographer giving details and a picture by picture set of links. But I guess that they didn't like the idea of hosting thousands of stolen pictures and the possibility of someone initiating legal action.

Brian, I wouldn't recommend trying your feline sanitation and toilet cleaning method with that one
