  • Part of aircraft cutoff - room for little deviation?

    Hi All,

The below photo was rejected due to the far side vertical stabilizer being partially chopped off.

Taking the rule literally, the rejection is 100% right. However on a photo like this does it really matter that the stab is chopped? I personally think that it doesn't impact the image that negatively.

Please note that this thread is not to question the rules or start an argument . I have also been encouraged by crew members to put this in the public domain for discussion.

BTW - why did I crop it this way? Well I have to admit the truth that I messed up the framing as I shot it in a hurry. If it was an aircraft that I see often, then most probably I would not have even uploaded this. Most probably I will never see this aircraft again in my life. When I leveled the horizon, then it had to be cropped like this to leave the blank bits out.

So should this type of cropping be allowed?
