Hi there! I'm sure this has been addressed before but I couldn't seem to find a thread. I know a new registration is a Hot Shot regardless of if an airframe is active or not. However my question is with the markings or livery of a preserved airframe. If an aircraft at a museum is repainted into a drastically different paint scheme than one pictured on the site does it qualify as a hot shot? For example, I was at the March Field Air Museum a few weeks ago and photographed their Folland Gnat which now wears the colors it wore during service with the Indian Air Force. All the photos of the airframe on JetPhotos are in Royal Air Force Red Arrows colors from 2016 or earlier. Would this qualify as hot, or no since it is just a museum based non-flying aircraft? Hello, can a staff or anyone help me please?
I was quite nervous and I accept it because it might be my first new registration.
The photo was immediately rejected for the following reasons:- Over Processed / Bad postprocessing
- Heat Distortion
- Dirty Scan / CMOS Dust spots
Also, my camera is new, I bought it a week ago, so it was very strange for me to see the reason for the dust spots, I checked the camera and I think everything was fine, and then I checked the photo trying to find some dust or something and I really can't say anything, for me it's perfect.
I appealed the rejection and a screener responded with this: "Why don't you at least check for dust before assuming we are wrong... just do it please and you'll see by yourself..."
(The appeal got rejected)
