I don't know, what has changed, but it seems the screeners reject more than ever before (and they need now 10!!!! days for screening). My personally reject quota has rised from 30% up to 60% and more. I upolad only selected photos an I am not a greenhorn in aviation photgraphy (more than 200 shots with more than 1000 views average).
In my opinion the rejection reasons are ridiculous. My newest example:

The photo shows a boarding scene at night and I think it could be interesting for the community. The photo has a good quality and has been rejected because of obstructing objects... The only part which is obstructed is the front wheel and this wheel is absolutely uninteresting. Should this lead to a rejection? The rejection reason is ridicoulos. The only part which is obstructed is the front wheel and this wheel is absolutely uninteresting. Should this lead to a rejection? The rejection reason is ridicoulos. (Who is really interested in the fuck......front wheel?, and the obstructing object is part of aviation). There are so many boring photos accepted by the screeners, showing almoust the same (landing aircraft with blue sky).
Uploading photos in newer times dosn't make fun anymore. I think the screeners take their job tooooo serious. JP should make fun - not anger.
They say "we're looking for reasons to accept - not to reject" - I say "are you sure?"
I consider to close my account because they accept more boring photos than interesting shots.
What is your experience with the screeners? Do you have the same problems? Is it okay for you having 10 days screening time?

http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=2742424

This is a recent photo graph I had rejected, no problem with the rejection. The rejection is for missing parts of aircraft.

I just need to know how to crop the original to retain dynamic nature of the shot and to get it through with a whole aircraft.

So I post the original version.

Any help greatly appreciated. I don't wont to waste screening time again. I didn't want to appeal as I was hopng to come to a better solution if possible.

This is my first picture in portait for the database. I think this maybe part of the problem?

Hi guys,

I am in need of a new camera and since I am unable to afford the new 7D a
decision has to be made beween 40 and 50D. I have heard that the noise performance and overall image quality of the 50D is worse than with the 40D. I think this is hard to believe.
I don't really need the extra megapixels and if the overall quality is better the 40D may be the better choice. Does anybody have experiences with one or both of these cameras? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks.

"Her dragonship" and I are travelling to China in a couple of weeks. It's an organised tour so I won't have a huge amount of time for any photography apart from transitting through the airports, mostly while waiting for flight departures.
We arrive in Shanghai and during the tour have internal flights to Beijing, X'ian and Guilin and return home again from Shanghai.

Any tips and advice would be appreciated. I hear that the Chinese authorities aren't too keen on aviation photography ?

Hello, not exactly a noob at spotting...but now that I'm a freshman at UC San Diego I get to go to the airport once or twice a month since it's relatively close to it. I do have a car but I'm taking it back to Sacramento this thanksgiving (parking is ridiculous at UCSD) so I want to get the most of it before I am carless.

I went to the parking area on W Laurel St yesterday and I only saw a few cars in the parking lot and it says I have to call the security to get in so I didn't go...Where and how do people get in the parking lot for plane spotting? And is San Diego Intl a spotting friendly airport without much questioning from the police/security department?

Thanks a lot...:)

Guys,

A question with which I've been struggling for some time, and I think others have too.

How to avoid the (originally blue) sky turning grey in the photo?
What camera settings are best to keep skies blue? I always use Av mode.

And, if this cannot be avoided properly, how to make the sky blue again in the editing process?

Hope some people can help me.
