-aircraft also gone especially if prior to and including 747-100s
-last issue dating back probably 1973, the year of the merger with BEA to form today's BA.

16 months ago i purchased a BOAC 747-100 their latest issue for $18AUD so it was a little under priced. My next bid os $30AUD is that better?

You were probably lucky to get somebody willing to sell ASAP ....
If the case, you could then negociate her/his asking price.
But since, it remains a valuable item for reason I once posted a 40$AUD (20USD) is not too high a bid especially if in mint condition : don't forget you are probably in competition.

Sorry, I won't bid, I stopped global collecting a couple of years ago, now I focus on airplanes I flew.
