My mom and I arrived at the Ottawa airport well before 6am. The new and spacious terminal was quite empty. We checked in at the AC counters without any hassle. Proceeding to security check, I noticed the line-up was quite a bit longer. When it was my turn, they collected and examined dust from my camera with a weird machine :skeptic: ...very strange...but they let me go, so it was all good.
We continued to the pre-boarding area which was very empty, too.

I saw my A321 to Vancouver parked at Gate 17 and quickly snapped a picture.

While waiting for departure, I took some pictures of the planes around us. I'm really liking night photography! :D

Soon, we boarded the plane and I noticed how new and clean the interiors were.

We departed YOW on time and headed west. By this time, the sun had come out. The flight was quite un-eventful. We watched a movie and a bunch of TV shows. We were served one warm meal (choice between french toast or omlet) and several snacks. The food and service was all very good. The view out my window was pretty nice, too.

We arrived in YVR on time and proceeded to our B767. I couldn't get a picture of it, but I did take this photo of another AC767 a few gates down.

Vancouver - Shanghai Pudong
Depart: 12:20 PM / Arrive: 4:45 PM

Before long, boarding commenced and we departed YVR slightly behind schedule. Once at cruising altitude, we were served a warm lunch (chicken or beef). We watched 4 movies and a bunch of other shows. There were so many movies and shows that I barely had time to check out the flight tracker! The flight was all during broad daylight, so I didn't feel like sleeping at all.

Later we were served another warm meal, and just before landing we were served another warm meal. There were also many snack and beverage services in between. Like I said before, I was really impressed by AC this time. On final approach to PVG, I took this photo.

I must say, Shanghai Pudong is really a beautiful airport. Large, spacious, and modern. Here is a picture of the interior.

Then we took the airport shuttle bus to Shanghai Hongqiao and there boarded our flight with Shanghai Airlines to Hefei. That flight was especially uneventful...
The flight back was more or less the same. All in all, the service provided by both airlines was great. Nothing special or abnormal happened on the flights. But I was able to snap a couple more pictures:
