Well it started out with a nice early morning in Perth, made our way to the terminal for checkin at 7am, i arrived a little later as i parked in longterm parking area.
checkin was smooth and fast and done within 3 minutes, the ground staff are very polite and friendly, and i love the new unifroms, very sexy the all black look!
boarding commenced at 0835am, it was then that i heard on the news of the condition of former Australian cricket great David Hookes, not a pleasent to hear this kind of news. smooth boarding process with a full flight which had all pax seated within 15 minutes and doors sealed just before 9am.
pushed back and started just before 9am and taxied for a rwy 21 departure. upon getting airborne we were given CityFlyer menus and the food service commenced shortly after. i chose the Lamb which was tasty and accomponied by a nice red wine.
meal service was completed in about 1hr which gave me time to sleep and take some photos, i love sleeping in planes, i find it easy to do and feel great on arrival.
cruise over Australia was pretty boring, mainly over the Southern Ocean and some of the driest country on earth.
we decended into Sydney at about 1515 for a runway 34L arrival, with a touchdown about 15 minutes ahead of schedule.
all in all a great hop across Australia, i refuse to fly any other airline than Qantas or OneWorld Alliance, and i think i am on a good wicket with them.

checked in rather early due to hotel checkout policy, checkin took me 2 mins as i used the Qantas QuickCheck service which is very easy and convenient. i then hung around the airport waiting for departure.
the aircraft arrived a little late on the gate, hence our later ATD. on entering the A332 cabin i found it to be nice and wide but extremely cramped for legroom. If this is not the most cramped cabin i have travelled in then i don't know what is, it is shocking for people with longer legs like myself. we pushed back about 20 mins late and headed out for 16R departure. we had immediate clearance for takeoff so no time was wasted holding.
meal service commenced about 1hr into the journey, i had the pasta which was not very filling, airline food always leaves you wanting more! i started to take some photos of the cabin when the steward informed me i was not allowed to do this! since when has this been enforced?
a movie was shown, though as per usual i fell asleep so i missed the whole film, i awoke about 20mins prior to landing after having slept for 3hrs on the flight.
we decended into Perth for a rwy 21 arrival, touched down just after 9pm and taxied back to stand.
all in all a very tiring flight and very cramped!
a big thanks to Sydney spotters, Glenn Stewart, Darren Howie and Morris Biondi who took a great amount of time to spend with me showing me about, we had lots of laughs along the way also!
a big thanks to you guys!
