Effective January 28th, AF will start a specific network to catch more of the oil industry and related markets. The new product named "DEDICATE"
will focus on the operations of six 82 seater (C28Y54) A.319LRs to particular destinations, first of which is F-GYAS opb LeBourget based Aero Services. In darkened letters are destinations never served by AF until then.
Initial routes will link CDG to
Malabo/Ecuatorial Guinea (twice weekly) effective January 28th
Pointe-Noire/Congo (also twice weekly) effective January 30th
By summer scheds, following destinations will be added
Kuwait City
Kish Island (Iran)
Doha (Qatar)
Tachklent [/b[b]](Uzbekistan)
Atyrau (Kazakhstan)
The fare policy will be the same as system wide. The airline stresses it wants to keep offering a better service to big corporate customers.

Yes and no, although Total is surely part of the number of oil/gaz and mining companies which specifically signed deals with AF.
Total may have been influencial for I guess Malabo and I am pretty sure instrumental for POINTE-NOIRE, the shoreline of which it operates lots of off-shore rigs from. They have some interests in Ecuatorial Guinea, but definitely not (yet) as spread as in Congo. I even think that for the latter case Total might have practiced some arm-twisting with the airline in making PNR on top of the list initial selection.
Exemple Total surely meant : you still want my money, you stop making my guys going on transiting thru either Port-Gentil or ABOVE all thru Brazzaville, get that Mrs Air France ?
