the winter of 2000 my family decided to take a week trip to Italy. so we flew on Virgin Express from Brussels National(Zaventem) to Roma Fumichino(sorry for the spelling.).
We arrived at EBBR at around 5am for our 7am flight. After 30 minutes waiting to check in we finally get our passes and proceed to 'Wingtips' where I watch the US arrivals land. After our quick breakfast we went through security and proceeded to the very old smoke ridden C terminal. we knew that there would be a mad dash for the plane so we waited till the rush calmed down, which was hte smart thing to do :lol: . Turns out, our 734 was at a remote stand so we got to walk on the tarmac.. OO YAH! After getting off the bus I notice a MAMOTH MD-11 of City Bird taxing to her gate. Only time I had ever been next to an MD-11. sure was beautiful!
Upon boarding this guy behind me starts to freak out cuz they want to put his guitar in the bathroom as he did not wantto cehck it. So he had to settle for it sitting in between his legs for 2.5h. His fault lol. Departure was delayed for about 15 minutes due to us having to be de-iced from the snow that had fallen the night before. During this time the hilarious and not to meniton HOT Italian FA's were doing their stupid speech, except this time I actually watched cuz it was educational ;-). At the end of hte speech the Purser started hitting on one of the FA's asking her to DInner and all. Was very very funny. .. Her face was more red than the Virgin Express colors..
The flight was very good and we saw nearly every ALP you could imagine. BEAUTIFUl is the only way to describe it! Landing at ROMA was a breeze and for hte next week I would enduldge in the best food I have ever had!

we were delayed by 2 hours due to a huge storm that broke out over our plan of flight. So we went to this restaurant that was like Wingtips. I spent my time looking at the planes taxing at very fast speeds. Prior to getting on the Purser called my dad over and told him there was a problem..
The 3 seats in front of us were broken so they had to fold those foward which made my dad and I(and some stranger) have two seats. So we all propped our feet on top of the seats in front of us for the 2.5H flight back. My sisters and my mom were moved to the 1st row where my sister then told me the pilots were reading car magazines. haha I should of figured. hehe :shock: ..
Overall my experience on VEX was very good and I would recommend anyone flying within Europe to take a trip on VEX. I also suggest to visit Italy.. It's a very beautiful country with beautiful women and food! :clap: :D .
