View Full Version : FS Stunts
What tricks/stunts have you done in your FS? I've flown under things like the Golden Gate bridge and St. Louis arch.

Rolls and loops in the 747. Nose diving and pulling away in time in the 777. Underneath all sorts of bridges. Inverted flying from Hong Kong intl. to Kai Tak (old airport).
PS: I just have a question; is there any place you can do carrier landings in FS2002?

Yes, just of the cost of San Francisco there's a carrier that you can land on. It's fun trying to land the lear on it and take off again, or even better a 737.

nope. i couldn't find the carrier. are u sure it is in Flight Simulator 2002 Professional edition. If so, could u give me directions from any airport in San Fransisco?
Thanks a lot...
the carrier has been in all of the FS since FS 1. If you are over the golden gate bridge and look south out in to the pacific you should see it.

There are a lot of things you can do: fly through the Défense-building in Paris (the one with the big hole), land on the Frisco air carrier, etc. Also, I made a loop with a 737, something you'd better not try in real-life... I regret that some other buildings, like the Arc the Triomphe and the Tour d'Eiffel are no longer open in FS2002 for fly-through.

Where??
I flew around the whole of Honolulu, and didn't see it.
Can you give me some directions from Honolulu intl. airport?
Is it in the light blue (shallow) or dark ble (deep) waters?
Under bridges upside down  Another thing, Extra 300 between the skyscrapers in NYC, also upside down. Try it someone and post your luck. :smilewin:

In FS2002Pro, I flew a 777 inverted through Tampa Bay and dipped the tail in the water. I was able to recover it quite nicely.

Better yet, take off from Ford Island. It is right near that area. It isn't hard to miss. I think.

I dipped the tail in the bay again! This time with a Delta L10-11. Twice actually, once while going under the Sunshine Skyway bridge. I also had to rinse my main wheels off. I have pictures to prove it! I was just giving the passengers a little extra flight for their money!

I use X-Plane 5.66 and this is what happened:
I Flew a B200 (King Air) and that thing, when the blades hit the water, I lost both engines= crash. Opps. The Citation wouldn't climb while inverted= crash
I tried a A319 but that crashed as well. Well, I was about to give up until I pulled out the United 747-400. Well, I didn't exactly dip the tail, Rather I LANDED THE 747 ON A CARRIER DECK! Yeah, without restraining wires.
I did the approach with full flaps, 135 knots, and 500 feet above the water. When I got to the carrier, 150 feet before the deck, I threw in Thrust Reversers and slamed her down on the deck with ground brakes applied. She roller the entire length of the deck and the nose wheel stopped only feet from the front of the launch deck (Front of the ship) I did not land on the "landing strip" rather I approached the carrier directly from behind...
I would put up some screen shots except I don't know how to get Screen shots with X-Plane...Sorry, I would love to show you guys!

Yesterday I had an engine failure 3 seconds after V1 on a FedEx MD-11 out of Paris De Gaulle. Did some virtual fuel dumping and came back in to land, except I added a 30kt crosswind for fun ;) It was a hard landing...but I walked away from it ;)

Not in all aircraft.
I'm certain about the beechcraft KingAir - u can use reverse thrust while in the air.
