This is still UNCONFIRMED by Emirates officials, which due to announce another huge order in Paris Air Show this summer.

Possible order will includes:

25x B772ER
15x B773ER
5x A340-500
10x A340-600
10x A380-800

Yeah. I heard. I believe they are the first customers to order the A380 when it is released.

Just a bit off the topic, Dubai is planning to build an airport city. Not surprising, considering the huge influx of aircraft they will have. :D

I agree with Geoffrey, what's the point in buying B773ER's and A346s. They do the exact same thing! But with a different number of different engines of course. :)

My goodness that's an awful lot of planes on order. What about the A332, are orders for that done?

Then again, when a carrier signs options for an aircraft, this generally doesn't mean that they'll buy the full number of aircraft originally specified. It's often the case where airlines buy less then what's stated.

Emirates is buying ADDITIONAL A380-800 on top of its existing 22 order.

Emirates MAY NOT buy A340-600 if Airbus didn't promise them for an ER version. Emirates wants A340-600ER, which is a worry for Airbus, because the range of A340-600ER is similar to A340-500.
