United Chapter 11?

Hi all, With United Airlines in the state the are wouldn't it be a whole lot easier for them to file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection (UK equivilent - Adminastration). This may help a considerable amount because they aren't getting anywhere by them selves, if the creditors came in and took control of the company they may be able to start seeing a break through? On Wednesday night they stood on the brink of bankruptcy and they are rumoured to be starting bankruptcy procedures.
